Craig Reed

Craig Reed has been winemaker at Martin & Weyrich Winery in Paso Robles since 1994 and is now also making the wines at York Mountain Winery, one of the oldest continually operated wineries in California. Craig also serves on the board of directors for the Paso Robles Vintners and Growers Association. Our philosophy for making wine at Tassajara is simple, “balance”.

Our wines are harvested when the fruit tastes its best, and in Paso Robles that means full maturity. We use state of the art crushing equipment for whole berry fermentations on our reds and whole cluster pressing for our whites. Only the best French Oak Coopers are used in the aging of our wines (Francois Freres, Remond, Vicard, Billon and Marsannay).
