This unique blend of old world and new world varieties makes a fun and spirited blend that boasts flavors of cherry cola, anise, currants and red berries.
The 2004 Rousse Rouge Syrah is a blend of 25% Grenache and 75% Syrah from the Dove Pond and Hearthstone vineyards. This wine should be served at room temperature or slightly chilled and enjoyed with well-spiced meat and poultry dishes.

18 Months in 50% new French oak and 50% seasoned French oak barrels, racked every 6 months. Francois Freres, Remond and Marsannay coopers with Medium-to-Medium plus toasting on center of France oak.
Other Notes
This wine will age nicely over the next 8 to 10 years. Only 220 cases produced.
